In reply to <a href="https://www.pokertraining.com/poker/blog/blind-stealing-like-ninja/#comment-1334">Riccardo</a>.

There is definitely greater value in raising to take multiple limpers, in addition to the blinds, as opposed to just the blinds themselves. At a very loose passive table where the fold equity is substantial against limpers, the value of this kind of raise is substantial, and even if you get called you will be in position post-flop, setting yourself up for another attempt at the pot with a continuation bet. In a $1/$2 game for example, a $10 raise to take down 3 limpers and the blinds, for example, only has to be successful a little more than 50% of the time to be profitable - even if you assume you either 1) get everyone to fold pre-flop and win $9 or 2) go on to lose that $10 to re-raises or ye losing post-flop every time while committing no more money to the pot.

So yes, against loose-passive players, aggressive theft of the multiple limpers and blind combo has a great chance of profitability.

Okay, but I notice in the 9-player APT cash game that the AI players routinely limp in, so often that there must surely be a lot of potential dead money there from weak speculative hands. How would you suggest handling lots of limpers rather than just 2 blinds?
