I first took up tournament poker when it was a far cry from the game of today, and read all TJ’s books. Imagine my shock when I played an event with an empty seat and, after a few minutes, he filled it. No doubt who that was. Two months later, we played again in a PL holdem event in Tunica. he was always reasonable to be around and even told at least one story which had appeared in one of his books.

He is the nicest person you will ever meet. I played with him in the WSOP Seniors event a few years back.

My wife has played at the same table with him in tournaments and she says the same thing about him.
RE: what you learned, one author jokingly said he should have sub-titled his book “Fold Everything!”
Each step in my learning process it seems l I find more hands to fold.
