Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, Justin Bonomo, and Eric Seidel are all household names among any poker playing group. Many of the top Omaha tournament players, however, fly under the radar. After some diligent research, I’ve learned a little bit about some of the best Omaha players gracing the tables today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tommy \u201cLegend\u201d Le \u2013 <\/strong>Since 2010 Tommy Le has final-tabled numerous WSOP Omaha tournaments, winning the $10,000 buy-in event in 2017 outright. He has also won multiple WPT PLO events, including the $1,100 PLO event at the LA Poker classic just last month. According to Hendon Mob, Tommy is the all-time top-earning WSOP Omaha tournament player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Loren Klein \u2013 <\/strong>Loren Klein began playing poker in 2004 and has won 4 WSOP bracelets. He is only the third person ever to win back to back WSOP bracelets in three successive years, and the first since Doyle Brunson in the 70\u2019s to win in four successive years. His bracelets have come for a mix of Omaha and mixed games. Klein has over $3 Million in live earnings and is clearly an Omaha master.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jason Mercier \u2013 <\/strong>Jason Mercier actually approaches household name status. He is 17th<\/sup> on the all-time US money list with almost $20 Million in live cashes across all event types. He plays a wide mix of games, from Hold\u2019Em to Omaha to 7 Card Stud and has seen success in all. Jason’s success in PLO goes back awhile, with WSOP titles in 2009 ($1,500 event) and 2011 ($5,000, 6-handed event).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Scott Clements<\/strong> \u2013 Scott is another poker generalist\nwith a talent for Omaha. He already has 7 Hendon Mob cashes in 2020 for Hold\u2019Em,\nHORSE, Omaha 8 or Better, and Mixed games. Scott has two WSOP Omaha titles, and\njust last year won a bracelet in the $1,500 Dealers Choice event. In all, he\nhas cashed in 56 WSOP events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n These guys are all Omaha players to watch out for.
